Building chemist Laura Greene explains, “The inclusion of HPMC in tile adhesive formulations boosts their performance by enhancing adhesion and reducing slump, meaning tiles can be applied efficiently without sliding off.” This characteristic is vital for both residential and commercial projects.
Experts like John Smith, a construction engineer, highlight HPMC’s role in dry mix products such as self-leveling compounds. “HPMC significantly improves the flow characteristics and leveling of these products, making it easier to achieve a smooth, even finish,” Smith notes.
